Dr. Renuka Diwan

Dr. Renuka Diwan is the Co-founder & serves as the Chief Executive Officer of BioPrime. Renuka earned a Ph.D. in Plant Biotechnology & Post Doc in Genetic Engineering from Pune University, India. As the CEO, Renuka lead’s BioPrime’s growth strategy, global business expansion, operational efficiency, external representation & leadership development. Since founding BioPrime in 2016, the business has expanded to achieve its strategic priorities.

Prior to founding BioPrime, Renuka was a scientist with notable contribution in understanding the anti-cancer activity of topoisomerase I and II inhibitory activity of coumarins and flavonoids. She has published 10 research papers & has a patent on Production and extraction of coumarins. Renuka has more than 25 years of experience in the field of research & agriculture.

In recognition of her contribution, Renuka has been awarded with the prestigious Women In Entrepreneurial Research by FICCI-BIRAC. She is a regular contributory on the policy matters on climate resilient agriculture in media & in the scientific fraternity. Renuka sits on the advisory board of studies for environment and Sustainability, University of Pune. She is a vocal supporter of encouraging women workforce in agriculture & is associated with several social groups to uplift the living conditions of the marginalised sections.
